What is Beyond Today?

Beyond Today is a nonprofit organization that strives to enhance the education of young African American men. Beyond Today is committed to transforming the chaotic lives of young people through persistent and compassionate mentoring. Beyond Today's goal is to aid marginalize young men with the educational and social tools they need to be successful all throughout life.

Our Founder: Teal Peoples 

Teal was inspired to help young at-risk adolescent males while working with Guardian ad Litem, foster care and the juvenile justice system. She discovered that one of the prevailing issues that seem to follow these particular young men is the lack of basic functional educational skills, and social/economic skills at a level of societal equivalents. Without these skills, their hopes and dreams for the future can not be realized. Beyond Today will assist these young men in realizing their dreams
